The 1940s - WW2 - Puppet Cast
The 1940s Punch's Show Cast
During the war years Mr.Punch, like everyone else, had to enlist. He chose the army, seeking to leave the annoying clown and nagging wife behind. How wrong could you be?
Sgt. Joey and Private Punch, now in uniform and ready for action, are confounded to meet a NAFFI cook; Judy who is minding a suspiciously attired baby. Thankfully the baby sports a gas mask, so its parentage is disguised.
Private Punch guards some munitions, losing them to a fifth-columnist. Some wooden sausages go missing too, it is probably headed off to Germany courtesy of a crocodile cunningly disguised as a U-boat.
Ghosts and Devils apparel is universal, irrespective of the decade in which they appear but the Red Cap Army policeman will still, no doubt, have trouble getting to the bottom of matters.
We have pleasure in offering you something different, but still familiar, an unforgettable experience indeed!
The Royal Mail, to commemorate Winson’s Churchills birthday, some 150 years after the event, have just released a series of stamps bearing his image. Each stamp carries a quote, most of which will be familiar to those who are familiar with his leadership during the war years. Our puppet Churchill makes a respectful appearance in our WW2 show and for further surprising details about Churchill and his contribution to art, by way of writing, we suggest readers follow this link.
